Company marks milestones including empowering 30,000 businesses with unified communications and business phone systems

To celebrate a decade of business phone system and unified communications software innovation, Fonality kicked off its 10th Birthday Bash this week. The ten-week campaign recognizes the employees, partners and customers who made this milestone possible. The campaign will also showcase future trends in office technology and business communications.

“Fonality launched to help companies just like us succeed by empowering them with a business phone system that does more than just dial,” said David Scult, Fonality’s chief executive officer. “I’m proud of the way the Fonality team delivers on that promise to our more than 300,000 users every day. I’m also grateful to our many partners and customers for joining us on this journey.”

Fonality was founded with a vision to change the way businesses communicate. Today, the company’s enterprise-class phone systems and cloud-based software features do just with help from its award-winning Heads Up Display (HUD). Since taking the IP-PBX market by storm, Fonality has grown to approximately 280 employees in five offices. More than 30,000 customers in 99 countries use Fonality today with the freedom to choose pure cloud or hybrid hosted on-premises solutions. This deployment flexibility contributes to Fonality’s industry-leading net zero percent churn.

Fonality’s chief financial officer was the company’s fifth employee a decade ago. “Fonality has come a long way since I joined a small group of crazy-smart engineers building amazing software ten year ago. Yet when I talk with many of our customers, I still remember our beginnings as a scrappy startup,” said Dan Rosenthal. “We’ve built a dynamic, fast-growing global company and are among the few to successfully transition its business model from one-time to recurring revenue. Today, we’re in our best financial, product portfolio and customer growth position ever.”

Fonality’s 10th Birthday Bash kicked off internally earlier this month with employee celebrations across its five offices in the United States, the Philippines and Australia. Activities varied by office and included food trucks, games, birthday cake, office decorations and party favors.
