3 things we learned from the Jabra survey

If you haven’t already heard, Jabra (a Fonality vendor) just released some awesome new stats from their latest business survey. Here are our three biggest takeaways:

  1. Unified communications (UC) are taking over the business world. According to Jabra’s business survey, up to two-thirds of small- to medium-sized businesses (SMB's) will adopt UC within the next two years. SMB’s who want to stay ahead of the competition should jump on this trend while it’s still fresh.

  2. Communications technology is crucial to the success of SMB’s. Half of all SMB’s reported that hand-free call capabilities are an absolute must for employees. Another one-third cited call mobility as another high priority. Ultimately, Jabra found that call-centric workers who are equipped with these call features are 25% more engaged in their jobs.
  1. Small distractions = big losses. The average employee is distracted at work every three minutes and can take up to 25 minutes to refocus. For SMB’s, every second of productivity counts! The best defense against distractions, especially in a customer service setting, is proper communications tools that deliver active and passive noise cancellation.
